Welcome to Release the Beast, an exhilarating puppy training program that lays the groundwork for a strong training foundation using positive reinforcement techniques. This comprehensive course prepares your furry friend for success in the AKC Star Puppy Program. Designed to teach your puppy how to learn in a dynamic environment alongside fellow dogs, this program fosters essential skills and promotes puppy socialization and play.

Course Overview:

Release the Beast is a dynamic and interactive puppy training program tailored to puppies aged eight weeks to ten months. Over seven weeks, you and your puppy will embark on an exciting journey of discovery, learning, and growth. Our program emphasizes fostering positive social interactions, building obedience cues through positive reinforcement, and setting the stage for future Canine Good Citizen achievements.

Course Details:

  • Duration: once a week for 7 weeks
  • Class Length: one hour  
  • 1 Orientation Class (Without Your Dog): This introductory session sets the stage for the course. It provides you with a solid understanding of the training methods, techniques, and goals.
  • 6 Weeks of Training with Your Dog: In these interactive sessions, you’ll work directly with your dog to master fundamental cues and behaviors.
  • Cost: $300

Key Learning Objectives:

  1. Mastering Fundamental Cues: Equip your puppy with essential cues such as SIT, DOWN, STAY, LEAVE IT, DROP IT, TAKE IT, WATCH ME, SWING, LOOSE LEASH WALKING, COME WHEN CALLED, TOUCH, BACK UP, GO TO YOUR SPOT, Greetings, Name Recognition, and more. Practice these cues amid the delightful distraction of fellow dogs.
  2. Socialization and Play: Engage your puppy in positive and controlled interactions with other dogs, promoting healthy socialization skills and confident play.
  3. AKC Skills Development: Foster a well-rounded puppy through AKC Skills training, including Desensitization, Stranger Handling, Grooming Acceptance, Distraction Tolerance, and Proper Play with Dogs, all grounded in our positive reinforcement philosophy.
