Puppy Development Program:

Welcome to Good Dog, DYNO’s Puppy Development Program, where we focus on nurturing your puppy’s skills in the comfort of your own home. Our tailored in-home sessions provide your puppy with the personalized attention they need to grow into a well-behaved adult dog. Using positive reinforcement techniques, we ensure your puppy learns in a happy, stress-free environment.

Program Overview:

Our Puppy Development Program is designed to address and shape your puppy’s behavior through progressive levels of training, each building on the last to create a comprehensive skill set that includes basic obedience, socialization, leash manners, and public behavior. All training uses positive reinforcement, focusing on rewarding desirable behaviors to strengthen the bond between you and your puppy.

Parent Involvement:

The sessions are designed for your puppy and the trainer to work one-on-one, building your dog’s skill level with multiple repetitions.  We recognize the crucial role you play in your puppy’s development, so we have two types of Puppy Development Sessions.

PDEV Traditional: The trainer works with the dog without the owner present, and at the end of each session there is a 15 minute recap with the owner, where the trainer provides updates on progress, demonstrates new skills, and discusses home reinforcement strategies, showing what the dog worked on during the session. These sessions include a detailed report card, featuring photos (if applicable) and straightforward instructions to help maintain and build on the dog’s training. This approach ensures that you are well-informed and prepared to support your puppy’s learning journey.

PDEV Watch & Work: The trainer works with the dog, but the owners are observers throughout the session. This way, the owners can watch the trainer’s process as the trainer explains how and why they do each step. At the end of each session, there is a 15 minute recap where the owner tries the skills they have observed in the session, and the trainer can trouble shoot any areas or questions. These sessions include a detailed report card, with all of the steps clearly outlined for easy replication.
